The Dr BR Ambedkar National Law University (DBRANLU), Sonipat students have protested against the administration's failure to provide basic infrastructure and alleged misconduct by the Registrar. The students claim that the University has constantly rejected their requests for basic infrastructure and other facilities that were promised.

Among the issues raised by the students, a few other claims are poor hygiene and sanitary conditions in hostels, lack of permanent faculty, sexist comments by the Registrar, unsuitable timings and inadequate library aids. Despite collecting fees for WIFI and air conditioning, the University is yet to put these facilities in place in the rooms.

The representation also states that there is no support from the administration in improving the Internship and Placement Cell or in developing the moot court halls as advertised in the University brochure.

The students claim that the University is confronting them with threats while they protest and threatening to not grant the marks allotted for attendance. They have also been warned by faculty members that their parents will be informed and action will be taken.

The students claim to suffer sexist gestures passed by the administration on students' attire.

Below are a few of the demands of the students:

- Publication of the minutes of meetings held by administration,

- Resignation of the Registrar,

- Restrictions on the movement of students within the campus,

- permanent faculty,

- Developing an academic model at par with NLU standards, on lines of Ivy League models,

- internship and placement facilities improvement,

- Increase the time allotted to accessing the library,

- Arranging for trash disposal,

- Ensuring better accountability of hostel staff to maintain hygiene in hostels.
