FIR against Ranveer Singh for his recent Nude Photoshoot – for Insulting the Modesty of a Woman.

In response to images of Ranveer Singh's recent nude photo shoot with an e-magazine posted by him on his social media accounts, the Mumbai Police filed a first information report (FIR) against him for obscenity. Singh has been booked for obscenity and insulting the modesty of a woman.

Lalit Tekchandani, 50, a Mumbai citizen, filed the complaint with Chembur Police Station. He said that the pictures had gone viral on the internet in a "cultured country like India".

In India, actors are called Nayaks and they are revered. By doing such acts, Ranveer Singh attempted to get cheap publicity at the cost of people's sentiments. If such acts are not opposed, then struggling actors will follow the same path to acquire cheap publicity, which will result in a worse society, the statement said.
