If any person under eighteen years of age ,any insane person, any delirious person, any idiot, or any person in state of intoxication, commits suicide, whoever abets the commission of such suicide, shall be punished with death or imprisonment of life, or imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.

IPC Section 305: Explained in Simple Terms

Suppose any person encourages or assists anyone who is minor, intoxicated, or an idiot (who has had a defective mental capacity since birth) in committing suicide. In that case, such a person is said to “Abet to Suicide”. Such a person shall be punished with death penalty, life imprisonment, or jail time up to 10 years. He/She will also be liable for a fine.
