A PUNE COUPLE TRICKED A MAN OVER 40 LAKHS
A man named Shubham Gaur claimed to be an Income Tax assistant commissioner, and his wife Ranjana Gaur tricked a man named Parmeshwar Kuchekar over Rs 40.05 lakh over the false promise of arranging a license for a liquor shop.
As per the FIR, Kuchekar, a land and vehicle dealer, met Gaur through a friend and became good friends. Although Gaur claimed to be an IT assistant Commissioner posted in Delhi, he also showed a fake Identity card.
Kuchekar started visiting Gaur's home, where he met Ranjana
Gaur. The Couple wanted to buy a flat in Pune and needed 15 lakh; Gaur loaned them an amount of Rs 15 lakh. The couple further promised to provide a license for a liquor show; Gaur borrowed a huge amount and paid the same to the couple. Gaur took a total Rs 40.5 Lakh on
different pretext from Kuchekar.
The couple refused to pay a single penny on being asked about the amount. Later, the Complainant came to learn that the couple is absconding. Kuchekar's Advocate said that the Gaurs had duped many more people with a similar modus operandi.
