A Seven-Year-Old was Sexually Harassed by An Unidentified Person - Pune
A seven-year-old was sexually harassed by an unidentified person who pulled her to a room on a construction site and forcibly took her clothes off. In an attempt to escape, the girl made a run for it while claiming to be using the washroom. The victim's father registered a case at the Bund Garden police station, the father runs a tea stall near the Pune railway station.
On Monday, the minor went to her father’s stall to deliver the tiffin at 12.30 pm. He wasn't there, and his brother was sitting at the stall. The FIR claimed that the father would open his tea stall at 5 am and run it until 9 pm. Whenever he found some time, he would double up as an auto-rickshaw driver. On such a day, the girl reached the stall.
Not finding her father, she dropped off the food with her uncle and was on her way home. Suddenly, an unknown person stopped her and dragged her to a little room nearby. He removed her clothes while she opposed. He slapped her out of anger and also threatened to kill her. The little girl was frightened but she managed to escape after pushing away the predator.
The police are looking for the accused. Meanwhile, the father returned to his stall but was again left for some work. Just as the complainant was about to leave, his wife called him. She insisted he come home immediately.
The complainant was informed about the incident and said that a man who saw the child crying on the street just in her underclothes, dropped her home.
Senior police inspector Pratap Mankar said a case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code.
