FARMERS TOOLKIT CASE - ADV NIKITA JACOB MOVES TO DELHI COURT FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL
Nikita Jacob, an advocate by profession, will be heard tomorrow by Additional Session Judge - Justice Dharmendra Rana.
Jacob’s house was raided on 11th February by the Delhi police, after which a non-bailable warrant was issued against her. She moved to Bombay High Court to get protection from arrest. Jacob pleaded before Bombay High Court that she had no religious, social or political motivation for researching or communicating about the toolkit; it was just for awareness. The Hon’ble Bombay High Court granted protection for three weeks from arrest and directed Ms Jacob to approach Delhi Court, where the case is lodged.
Presently, she moved to Delhi Court seeking anticipatory bail in regard to Toolkit FIR (sedition ) registered by Delhi Police.
