Fresh Hope For NEET-UG 2024 Aspirants: Supreme Court Asked To Reconsider Ruling On Exam Re-Test
The Supreme Court has received a petition asking for a reconsideration of the ruling that denied the holding of NEET-UG 2024 again.
According to the top court's Judgment from August 2, there isn't enough information currently available to suggest that there was malpractice or a systemic leak that would have jeopardized the integrity of the test. Kajal Kumari's review plea asks for the top court's ruling to be reconsidered.
The panel, led by former Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Chief K.
Radhakrishnan, was appointed by the Center to examine the operations of the National Testing Agency (NTA), which administers the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (NEET-UG), and suggest changes to the examination process. The panel's mandate was extended by the Supreme Court.
Due to the panel's increased mandate, the court had previously stated that the committee would present its report on potential solutions to address the
examination system's shortcomings by September 30. In its verdict, the Top Court asked the seven-member committee to consider these matters when formulating its recommendations, and it urged the NTA to make sure that all of the concerns raised were taken into consideration. In an attempt to gain admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other relevant courses, more than 2.3 million students took the May 5, NEET-UG 2024 Exam.
