I WAS BEING MADE A SCAPEGOAT - SACHIN WAZE

An SUV was found outside billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani's residence in Mumbai loaded with explosives on 25th February. Mumbai cop Sachi Waze was arrested by the NIA u/s 286,465,473 and 506. Waze was remanded earlier on March 14, and now the special court extended the remand till 3rd April. Before the extension of remand, Waze said; that he is being made a scapegoat, along with the Mumbai cop branch, investigated the case. But suddenly, something changed, and he got arrested. It has also been said that Waze has confessed his crime, but it's not true.

Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, appearing for the NIA, submitted that the investigation is at a crucial stage and briefed about the pieces of evidence. He further submitted that charges under IPC along with UAPA could be remanded up to 30 days.

Adv Ponda appearing for Waze, submitted that charges by the NIA under the UAPA were merely to keep Waze in custody.

The Court proceeded to extend the remand by 10 days.
