According to a press release, the Supreme Court's live-streamed Constitution Bench hearings saw upward of 8 lakh cumulative views on its first day.
 
The bench hearing the constitutional validity of the 10% quota for the economically weaker sections had over 2.5 lakh views.
 
Further, About 5 lakh people watched the Supreme Court hearing cases related to the Maharashtra Political Crisis and the scope of the Central and Delhi governments' legislative and executive powers over the national capital's services.
 
All India Bar Examination challenging petitions saw over 1 lakh views.

Background
 
Last week, the SC decided to begin live-streaming of Constitution Bench cases from 27 September. The decision was taken by Chief Justice of India UU Lalit last week. The top court informed that it would be telecasted on youtube; however, soon, it will develop its platform to host live proceedings.
 
The court is currently hearing essential matters, including petitions challenging the constitutionality of the 10% reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). As well as petitions related to the Maharashtra Political Crisis and the power struggle between the Delhi and Central governments, the All-India Bar Examination was also challenged today.
