According to the Delhi Police, Mohammed Zubair was not found to have committed any criminal acts about his tweets about a minor girl, and, therefore, his name was not included in the charge sheet.

As a result of the submissions, Justice Anup Jairam Bhambhani ordered the Delhi Police to place the chargesheet on record so that the court can proceed with Zubair's plea for quashing the case.

Additionally, Justice Bhambhani asked the Additional Solicitor General (ASG) KM Nataraj (appearing for the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights) to obtain instructions from the court regarding Zubair's chargesheet.

According to the complaint against Zubair, he retweeted Singh's display picture with his daughter pixelated/blurred after responding to an abusive message from him.

The tweet, “Hello Jagdish Singh. Does your cute granddaughter know about your part-time job of abusing people on social media? I suggest you change your profile pic.”

Following this, two First Information Reports (FIRs) were filed against him in Raipur and Delhi under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act).

In May 2022, the Delhi Police filed an affidavit in the High Court stating that the tweet is not a crime.

As a result of the information provided by the Delhi Police (Police), the NCPCR challenged the Delhi Police's assertion that Zubair was trying to evade the investigation, and, as a result, the police's assertion that no cognizable offense had been established is also incorrect, as it indicates the police's casual attitude in this case.

Child rights protection body said Zubair's tweet violates the IT Act and POCSO Act and should therefore be investigated thoroughly and swiftly by Delhi Police.

Even after knowing that several indecent and sexual comments were made on Zubair's tweet about the minor girl, the NCPCR stated that he did not attempt to delete the tweet nor inform authorities about the users whose actions indicated his Malad intentions.
