PIL FOR ACTION AGAINST PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN DELHI

A PIL has been filed in the Delhi High Court which seeks to direct the Delhi government to take action against private schools in the capital that are allegedly charging higher fees during the pandemic and students are not allowed to join online classes.
It was contended by the Petitioner that according to reports, some schools were allegedly charging fees in some other items other than tuition fees and those students who are unable to pay the desired fees were asked not to attend online classes.
It was further claimed in the petition that according to the Delhi Parent Association, 76 private schools have violated the instructions of the Delhi government.
It was further stated by the Petitioner that this act is a violation of the directive of the Delhi government, under which they have been asked not to take any fee other than tuition fees during the pandemic.
