Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the inaugural session of “Journey Towards Viksit Bharat: A Post Union Budget 2024-25 Conference" organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Delhi on Tuesday. The event aims to present the government’s larger vision for growth and the industry's role in it, according to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

The conference will witness participation from over 1,000 individuals, including industry leaders, government officials, members of the diplomatic community, and representatives from think tanks. Many more participants are expected to join virtually from various CII
centres across the country and overseas.

Simultaneously, across the city at Jantar Mantar, the Opposition-led INDIA bloc will hold a rally organized by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to protest the continued incarceration of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the now-scrapped liquor policy case.
Kejriwal's health has reportedly declined while in Tihar jail, with his sugar levels falling 26 times between June 3 and July 7, according to his medical report. The rally is intended to showcase opposition unity, with participation from the Congress, SP, RJD, TMC, DMK, CPI, CPI(M-L), NCP (SP), Shiv Sena (UBT), and other opposition parties.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, an AAP leader, will attend the rally at Jantar Mantar, skipping his government’s farewell for outgoing Governor Banwarilal Purohit, who has been at odds with Mann during his tenure. Purohit is set to be replaced by Gulab Chand Kataria.
In BJP-ruled Rajasthan, the opposition, led by the Congress and the Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP), intensified its criticism of the government over crimes against Dalits, causing three adjournments in the state assembly on Monday. BAP MLA Thavar Chand raised the issue of a Dalit teacher's murder in Salumbhar district last week, while Congress MLA Pitram Singh Kala highlighted various cases of atrocities against Dalits. The Speaker, Vasudev Devnani, assured the opposition that the government would respond during Zero Hour today.

In Jharkhand, the JMM-led alliance witnessed chaotic scenes in the Assembly as the BJP opposition raised concerns over Bangladeshi infiltration and alleged atrocities against tribals.

These issues led to multiple adjournments on Monday. The Assembly will reconvene today, but the BJP, guided by its state in-charge Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Assam Chief Minister, is expected to maintain its focus on these subjects ahead of the upcoming state Assembly polls.

These developments mark a significant day in Indian politics, with key events unfolding in Delhi and major legislative actions taking place in Rajasthan and Jharkhand.
