The Deccan Police have booked a 62-year-old advocate for molesting a 29-year-old client. The woman reached the Advocate seeking legal help/ advice for filing a divorce case against her husband. The practitioner, however, took advantage of the situation and allegedly tried to outrage her modesty.

The victim was at the Advocate's office for counseling, and when she asked about the counseling fees, the accused held her hand and made some vulgar gestures. The victim ran away from his office and informed her husband. After ten days, the couple had a verbal feud over a petty issue, and therefore, the victim messaged the Advocate. The accused asked the victim to come to his office on Christmas eve. The victim reached his office and saw no other person. The accused asked personal questions during the counseling, and when she asked for the counseling fee, he did not take the money. While the victim was leaving, the Advocate held her hand and made offensive gestures. The victim immediately ran from his office and filed a police complaint.

The Deccan Police station filed a case under section 354 (A) (sexual harassment and punishment for sexual harassment) against the lawyer.
