The Woman who accused Ramesh Jarkiholi, former Karnataka Minister of demanding sexual favours in exchange for a job has written an email to the Chief Justice of the Karnataka HC to monitor the ongoing Special investigation team into the matter.

The woman also asked the court to provide her protection, as she has been receiving threats from Jarkiholi. She further added that Jarkiholi is a very influential person, who can get a clean chit easily. He resigned as State water resources Minister after being accused of demanding sexual favours. The CD containing the act of sex-for-job was leaked which prompted the Minister to file a complaint against an unknown person, accusing them of framing him.

Background

The woman registered a complaint u/s 354, 506, 504, 376 (c), 417 of IPC and sec 67 (A) of the IT Act. As per the report, the victim woman was offered a job in Karnataka power transmission corporation ltd, upon reaching the location the woman was sexually assaulted and later threatened by the former minister and his people. Earlier this month, the Karnataka HC restrained sixty-seven media houses from publishing any defamatory content against six Karnataka Ministers involved concerning the Sex-for-job scandal, which has rocked the state.
