Security Breach in Parliament 'Painful,' Says PM Modi; Calls for Collective Solution

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the recent security breach in Parliament, emphasizing the gravity of the incident and calling it "painful and a matter of concern." In an interview with Hindi daily 'Dainik Jagran,' he urged a collective approach to find a solution rather than engaging in squabbles.

"The gravity of the incident which happened in Parliament should not be underestimated," PM Modi stated. He highlighted ongoing investigations by probe agencies, emphasizing the need to identify the individuals behind the breach and their motives.

The Prime Minister called for a collective spirit in addressing the issue and commended the Speaker's serious steps in response to the breach. Two individuals jumped from the visitors' gallery into the Lok Sabha chamber on December 13, prompting demands from opposition parties for a statement from Home Minister Amit Shah.

Addressing criticism about the BJP selecting relatively new leaders for Chief Minister roles in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan, PM Modi defended the choices, stating that these leaders have significant experience and hard work behind them. He took a jibe at those questioning the BJP's decisions, noting the challenge of breaking away from a narrow mindset.

"It has been the country’s misfortune that a big section of people who influence society are bound to a trite and narrow mindset. This is not confined to only the political field. This nature troubles us in every field," Modi commented. He criticized the media's focus on a few families for decades, overshadowing the talent and usefulness of new leaders.

"That is why you often see some people as new. But the truth is that they are not new. They have done the hard work and have their own experience," he added.
