In Response to Calls from Certain Hindu Organisations for Protests in Sanjauli
Over the Alleged Unlawful Construction of a Mosque, there has been a
Significant Police Presence in Shimla. A Ban on Gatherings of Five or more
people in Public Spaces without Authorisation has been Enforced in the Area
under Section 163 of the Bharat Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. Along with it, the cops marched in peace from Dhalli Tunnel to Sanjaulo Chowk.

District Magistrate Anupam Kashyap issued An Order Requiring Immediate
Action to Stop Any Untoward Incident, Disturbance of Public Peace and
Tranquillity, and Activities Putting Public Life and Property in Danger in Shimla Town, Particularly in the Sanjauli Area. A Variety of Public Gatherings,
Unapproved Processions, Hunger Strikes, and Dharnas in Public Areas are all
Forbidden by the Prohibitory Decrees.

Along with other deadly Weapons and Armaments, the Edict Forbids the
Carrying of Lathis, Daggers, Knives, Spears, Swords, and Combustible items.
Sanjeev Kumar, the Superintendent of Police in Shimla, Stated that Although
Police have been called in as a precaution, Life is as usual. He added that there is also drone Surveillance being done.

"If Someone Violates the Law, We will Gather Sufficient Proof to Prosecute
them... The People of Himachal Pradesh are kind and Peaceful. Thus, even if a
Large Crowd Gathers, the Protest will be Nonviolent,” the Police Official Stated.

"The Stakeholders also declared that there will be no Violence during the
Protest. We've followed all Safety Procedures... We wish to warn individuals
that Peace is the best Course of Action and that the Law will eventually take its Course. We hope that Nobody Breaks the Law and Puts himself in Legal Hot water," he continued
