SUO MOTU COGNIZANCE WAS TAKEN BY TELANGANA HIGH COURT IN THE MURDER CASE OF LAWYER COUPLE

Telangana High Court took Suo Motu cognizance in the gruesome murder case of advocate couple Vamana Rao and Nagamani who were barbarously murdered to death in broad daylight in the Peddapali district of Telangana after attending a court hearing. The High Court division bench comprised of chief justice Hima Kohli and Justice B Vijayasen Reddy directed the police authorities and the Telangana government to take necessary steps and appropriate charges to book the culprits responsible for the murder of the couple. The court directed the state to collect significant evidence and to file a status report on 1st March along with the video that went viral on social media that showed Vamana Rao bleeding with multiple stab injuries bleeding and taking the name of the killer who killed his wife and him (Kunta Srinu).

The entire state is looking up to the state government for answers. Earlier, lawyers staged a protest at Hyderabad High court, demanding speedy justice for the couple. The Bar Council of Telangana has also expressed concern over this matter by issuing statements condemning the hideous incident.
