Woman's Web Of Deceit: 10 False Cases Filed Against Men In 11 Years
A lady in Karnataka filed ten charges against ten males between 2011 and
2022. The Karnataka High Court has now directed the State's Director General
of Police (DGP) and Inspector General of Police to notify all Police Stations
about the "Serial Litigant"
Justice M. Nagaprasanna issued the directive, emphasising the importance of
preventing future exploitation of the legal process.
The woman filed a lawsuit under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC),
which addresses cruelty against women by their husbands or In-Laws. The Court quashed the case.
After a thorough review of her case file, which exposed an unsettling trend of
lawsuits against several males, the decision was made. As the Court pointed
out, the initial case was filed in 2011, and by 2015, she had filed other complaints, one alleging rape against a man named Santosh and another of
criminal intimidation against a man named Hanumesha.
The Court's conclusions revealed a persistent trend in her submissions. The
woman had charged three males of molestation and criminal intimidation, two of cruelty, and five of rape throughout the years.
After examining all 10 complaints, the court determined that the accusations
followed a continuous pattern, which led it to declare her acts to be an abuse
of the legal system. Advocates for Men's Rights have praised the High Court's
ruling, claiming that it addressed the misuse of the legal system by certain
women against males.
In an open letter, they reaffirmed their support for the ruling and emphasised
the significance of taking a fair and impartial stance when handling matters like this.
