A third-year National Law University, Odisha (NLU Odisha) student took to Twitter to reveal a fourth-year law student of National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, allegedly harassed her "sexually, physically and mentally".

As per the tweet, she filed a criminal complaint against the NLSIU student after being harassed for months. The harasser's family even persuaded the NLU Odhisa student to take back the complaint. The girl agreed to it but put forth conditions such as putting an end to the harassment.

The girl revealed that she came to know of the harasser in 2019 end, through a mutual friend at NLSIU.

She said, Things were fine initially, but then the NLSIU student started threatening to hit me and forcefully had sex with me. I tried to break contact with him, but eventually, he forced me to come back home to Bangalore. In November 2021, I underwent an abortion procedure, and he was completely absent from the situation. In January 2022, after the reopening of my college, I thought of distancing myself from him. He began contacting my friends and called me constantly to share that he has been feeling anxious. Things even got worse from there - he hit me to the floor when I experienced a panic attack. He constantly engaged in abusing me mentally as well, by saying nasty things. He also tried to criminally intimidate me about my personal information.”

She added, that at first, he stopped his abusive behaviour due to fear of being exposed, but later went back to his abusive behaviour. She later approached NLSIU's Sexual Harassment Redressal Committee facilitators, who have been helping her out. She added that despite tendering an apology to the investigating officer, he continues to mentally harass the NLU Odisha student.
