Whoever commits house-trespass in order to the committing of any offense punishable with imprisonment, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, and shall also liable to fine, and if the offense intended to be committed is theft, the term of the imprisonment may be extended to seven years

IPC Section 451: Explained in Simple Terms

If any person enters into someone else's house to commit any wrong or illegal act, it is termed as a “House-trespass”. Such a person shall be punished with jail time of up to 2 years, a fine, or with both. If such a “trespass” involves theft, then the punishment can extend up to 7 years.
