A 19-year-old employee of a loan recovery agency died by suicide and left a suicide note behind stating that his Manager and four other employees mentally harassed him.

He worked in Yash Jyoti Debt Consultancy at Sadhu Vaswani Chowk.

Ashish Kamanboayana was a 19-year-old boy of Ghorpadi and joined the firm in 2021. His mother informed the Mundwa police that the deceased transferred 30 thousand into his friend's bank account instead of depositing it into the office account. After which, Aishwarya Joshi, the Manager, started harassing him. She further informed that on 26th October, she received a call from the Manager asking whether the family was doing good. The same day, the deceased asked her if she could lend 30k to him as he wanted to deposit back into the company account. The mother mortgaged her gold chain for rupee 14 000 and borrowed money. The deceased and the mother returned the amount to Joshi.

Thereafter, on October 28th, her son called and informed her that he was being harassed. Around 1.15 pm, she was informed that her son hanged himself and was declared dead.

Mundwa police said that they had recovered a suicide note mentioning the name of 4 colleagues and the Manager. It was also mentioned that he was being pressured for more money despite returning the 30k. And since he or his mother could not manage extra money, he was taking this extreme step.

The Manager and other four colleagues are booked u/s 306 abetments of suicide under the IPC.
