A MAN KILLS HIS WIFE OVER SUSPICION OF AN EXTRA-MARITAL AFFAIR

Recently, a man killed his wife on the suspicion that the wife was having an extra-marital relationship with someone else. Rahul Gokul Pratap killed his 21-year-old wife named Gauri on the streets in their house at Punawale. Gauri was stabbed in the head, and the police confirmed the same.  

Rahul Gokul Pratap was a security guard, and the couple was married 3.5 years ago. Rahul became suspicious of Gauri engaging in an extra-marital affair. The couple fought over silly issues, and over one such fight, Gauri went to her parent's house. After days when Gauri came back, Rahul abused her physically on the same suspicion. He again abused her at 9.30 pm on the streets near their house. He further used a sharp weapon to hit Gauri repeatedly in her head, leaving her dead.

Hinjewadi Police arrested the accused under section 302 of the Indian Penal code. The Senior Police Inspector (SPI) Balkrishan Sawant of Hinjawadi said that the accused had been ordered 5 days of Police custody.
