BOMBAY HC REJECTS THE PIL OF ABA BAGUL DEMANDING OXYGEN SUPPLIES TO THE HOSPITALS RUN BY THE STATE AND PMC

The Bombay HC rejected a PIL filed by Ulhas Vasant Rao Bagun alias Aba Bagul (sitting Congress corporate) demanding oxygen supplies to the hospitals run by the state and PMC. He also demanded reservation for treatment of patients from weaker section of the society in a private hospital and medical facilities.
Chief Justice GS Kulkarni dismissed the petition stating that it lacked accurate data and merely based on news reports, which is almost 25 days old. He further said that the petitioner should take the matter to the municipal corporation or other state authorities.
Adv Ritesh Kulkarni, appearing for the petitioner, said it was a win for them, although PIL was dismissed. "As the order stated that we could take our complaint to the concerned authorities. Now we will send our findings to the concerned authorities."
