DELHI HC ALLOWED SERVICE OF NOTICES, SUMMONS AND DAKS THROUGH EMAIL, FAX, AND WHATSAPP

In view of the rise of the number of corona positive cases all over Delhi, the Delhi HC  made temporary amendments in physical mode of service of notice, summons and daks by permitting service of all documents, notices, summons and Daks through Email, Fax and WhatsApp till 24th April.

As per the notification, all physical mode is dispensed, except where the Hon'ble Court has a specific order. The necessary details will be furnished by the concerned party seeking to affect the service. The process of sending in electronic mode will continue to be done by the Despatch Branch/ Process Serving Agency, coordinating with respective judicial branches and IT Branch.

The standard mode of physical delivery may be permitted once the normalcy returns.
