In commemoration of this year's Independence Day, the Delhi High Court has introduced a range of novel digital initiatives, including a cause list designed for accessibility to visually impaired litigants, advocates, and the wider public.

Named the "Web Accessibility Compliant Cause List," this new offering aims to provide effortless access to the Delhi High Court's cause list for individuals with visual impairments, as well as lawyers and the general public. Through the utilization of diverse accessibility text-to-speech software, these stakeholders can seamlessly navigate the cause list, as informed by the High Court.

This initiative was executed under the purview of the Accessibility Committee within the High Court, headed by Justice Rajiv Shakdher, and was developed after soliciting input from visually impaired advocates, namely Rahul Bajaj and Amar Jain.

The launch of this endeavor was one of various novel information and communication technology (ICT) projects introduced by the High Court on the same day.

The Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, Satish Chandra Sharma, officiated the inauguration, and the event witnessed the presence of Justice Shakdher, who serves as the Chairman of the High Court's Information Technology Committee. Additionally, Justices Sanjeev Sachdeva, Sanjeev Narula, and Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav, a member of the Information Technology Committee, along with other judges, attended the event.
