LAW SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES SHALL CONDUCT EXAMINATION-BCI
The Bar council of India notified that end-term examination should be mandatorily conducted by all law schools and universities. The Universities are free to determine the mode through which examination will be conducted.
The high-level Committee Comprising Justice Govind Mathur and former Chief Justice of Allahabad High court recommended that the committee provide a sufficient time gap between the regular exams and backlog examination to avoid any inconvenience to the students.
Background
The BCI constituted a high-level Committee after receiving hundreds and thousands of letters from colleges and students on examination. The High-level committee considered the issue in detail to submit a report so that the BCI could take a final decision and place it before the Hon'ble High court when necessary.
