On Saturday, after an event, the opposition party demanded a case to be filed against Deputy Chief Minister - Ajit Pawar for not following social distance and other Covid 19 norms. An inauguration took place for the NCP office, which was constructed in Shivajinagar.

A vast crowd of over 150 people were gathered at the time of inauguration without keeping in mind the social distancing norms. Ajit Pawar, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, was also present at the event, and he inaugurated the office.

Considering this, the opposition party (BJP) demanded a case to be filed against Pawar. A case has been registered against the NPC workers who organized this event by the Shivajinagar Police.

The opposition party demands that a case should be filed against Pawar, as they suggest, that if he hadn’t attended the program, then the NCP workers wouldn’t have been gathered there too and hence, the deputy CM should be held accountable. A case has been registered u/s 188, 269, 270 of IPC and National Disaster Management Act.
