The Central government has decided to scrape Class XII board exams of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for the year 2021. The central government also decided to take steps for compiling Class XII result in a time-bound manner.
This decision came after a plea filed by Adv Mamta Sharma before the SC seeking cancellation of Class XII of CBSE and ICSE exams amid the Pandemic. The plea also prayed to issue a notification to strike down the unspecified date of Class XII exams by ICSE and CBSE. Also urged to allot marks using the methodology employed last year.
This decision came after a meeting with the Prime Minister. The PM said that the decision had been taken for the good of the students.
