The female rickshaw driver was attempted to be raped by a passenger  - Pune

According to reports, a female rickshaw driver was attempted to be raped by a passenger she was transporting. At about ten o'clock on December 26, a 38-year-old female rickshaw driver reported the incident to the Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station. It has been identified that the arrested passenger is a 30-year-old Nikhil Ashok Memzade from Hadapsar.

According to reports, on December 26, around 8 p.m., the accused hired a rickshaw from Katraj. He told the female driver that he wanted to go to Katraj Ghat and he took a rickshaw there. Meanwhile, he tried to rape the woman in the Katraj ghat, near a lodge. When the woman refused, he thrashed her and demanded physical intimacy with her.

Thereafter, on the complainant's refusal. the accused stripped naked and sat in the victim's rickshaw. The victim ran towards Katraj Ghat and the accused chased the woman while naked. This incident took place at ten o'clock at night.
The woman filed a complaint, following which the police began investigating and arrested the suspect.
