THE STATE OF ANDRA PRADESH TOLD THE SC THAT IT WILL HOLD THE CLASS 12TH BOARD EXAMINATION IN PHYSICAL MODE
The Andhra Pradesh (AP) government recently informed the Apex Court that it has decided to conduct class 12th State Board examination in physical mode with precautionary measures since there is no reliable alternative to assess class XII state examination as the board has no control over the internal exams conducted by the school. The State further highlighted that in AP that grades are given to class 10th Students and not marks.
The affidavit filed by Principal Secretary, School Education to Government of AP before the Top Court stated that since Covid 19 cases are declining in the state, it can conduct physical examination successfully. Moreover, the examination centres will take each and every precaution like providing masks, thermal screening of students and teachers, the appointment of health officials with health kits, and maintaining social distance.
The Reply came after the Apex Court bench of Justices AM Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari said, "You cannot keep things hanging on fire. If you are so confident than all other States, then let us have your reasons too." "If there is even one fatality, then the State of Andhra Pradesh will be held responsible for it."
