Two private detectives arrested are on charges of stalking and secretly taking photographs of a woman - in Pune

The Pune police's crime branch has arrested two private detectives on charges of stalking and secretly taking photographs of a woman.

Nilesh Laxman Singh Pardeshi (25), a resident of Vadgaon Maval, and Rahul Gunwantrao Biradar (30), a resident of Dehugaon, Maval, have been charged in this case.

After returning from the United States and operating a health consultancy from her home, the victim felt that someone was following her and secretly photographing her on January 1. Subsequently, she approached Pune (Bharosa) police for help.

Later, she complained to ACP Narayan Shirgaonkar about someone posting her photographs on social media or using them for malicious purposes. Based on her complaint, the ACP ordered a police team to investigate.

The woman went to a hotel in Koregaon Park on January 7, where the men were hiding and taking pictures of her from a distance. This was discovered by the undercover police, who detained and interrogated the pair. A subsequent investigation revealed that both detectives worked as private investigators for a client.

They also secretly took her pictures from December 1 to December 7 last year. The police are investigating who asked them to follow her.

Details regarding who the accused sent the photos to have been sought by the police. It is being investigated thoroughly that the two men are detectives for a private organization."
