WHITEHAT JR. HAS WITHDRAWN A 20 CR DEFAMATION SUIT AGAINST ITS CRITIC PRADEEP POONIA

WhiteHat Jr has withdrawn defamation suit against its critic Pradeep Poonia. WhiteHat Jr moved to Delhi HC last year, alleging that Critic Poonia was making defamatory remarks against the platform. WhiteHat Jr also accused Poonia of Trademark infringement, copyright infringement, passing off and breach of contract. WhiteHat Jr further accused Poonia of hacking into WhiteHat Jr's internal business and communication between employees and customers.

Poonia argued that he never carried any commercial activity by using WhiteHat Jr's trademark or anything similar to that to gain profit. Moreover, none of his comments amounts to defamation.

The Delhi HC in November 2020 passed an interim order in favour of WhiteHat Jr and directed Poonia to take down defamatory Contents, prohibited commenting on the quality of teachers teaching there, to take down specific URLs from Poonia's youtube.
