42 FARMERS ORGANIZATIONS IMPLEADED AS PARTIES BEFORE SUPREME COURT
23rd December
42 farmer unions have been prosecuted as parties to the case pending before the Supreme Court concerning farmers' protests at Delhi-NCR border areas. This decision comes after a Bench led by Chief Justice SA Bobde, on December 17, permitted farmers assembled at Delhiās borders to continue their protests against the three argumentative farm laws while also ordering the petitioners before the Supreme Court to confirm that all farmers unions be made a party to the case.
The petitioners have demanded the removal of framers from public roads and protest sites referring to the inconvenience caused to the public due to protestors blocking roads. Rishabh Sharma is one of the petitioners, stated that it is necessary to remove the crowd as it is blocking roads and disrupting emergency/medical services in Delhi where Covid-19 cases are increasing rapidly.
